OEM GNM1 Lleakage Circuit Breaker Supplier, Manufacturer

GNM1L series plastic shell circuit breaker with residual current protection (referred to as leakage circuit breaker) is one of the new leakage circuit breakers designed and developed by the company using international technology. It is used in circuits with AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 690V, rated current from 16A to 800A. Its main function is to provide indirect contact protection against fatal personal electrocution.

Product Description

Purpose and scope of use
GNM1L series plastic shell circuit breaker with residual current protection can also be used as supplementary protection for direct contact when other protection measures fail (for rated residual operating current not exceeding 0.03A), but cannot be used as the sole direct contact protection. At the same time, it can be used to prevent electrical fires caused by ground fault currents. It protects line and power supply equipment from overload and short circuit, and can also be used for infrequent conversion of the line.
The leakage circuit breaker features a small size (equal to the volume of the corresponding molded case circuit breaker), high breakage capacity, short arcing, and adjustable residual action current and action time. It comes with alarm contact, shunt tripper, under voltage tripper, auxiliary contact, rotary handle operating mechanism, electric operating mechanism, and other accessories. It supports various wiring methods such as front of the board, behind the board, and plug-in, making it an ideal choice for users.
The leakage circuit breaker is designed to be installed vertically.
Compliance Standards:
IEC60947-1 & GB/T14048.1: General rules for low-voltage switchgear and control equipment
IEC60947-2 & GB/T14048.2: Circuit breakers for low-voltage switchgear and control equipment and Appendix B
IEC60947-4-1 & GB/T14048.4: Electromechanical contactors and motor starters
Product features
  • The circuit breaker provides overload, short circuit, and under-voltage protection, protecting the line and power supply equipment from damage while providing indirect contact protection for operators and preventing fire hazards caused by undetected long-term grounding faults.
  • It features compact dimensions, high breaking capacity, short arcing distance, and excellent anti-vibration performance.
  • Power terminals and load terminals cannot be reversed: only 1, 3, and 5 are allowed as power terminals, and 2, 4, and 6 are load terminals.
  • The open circuit features an isolation function, represented by the symbol _/| ✕.
  • Supports multiple wiring configurations: front wiring, back wiring, and plug-in wiring.
Normal working and installation environment
  • The installation site altitude must not exceed 2000m.
  • Ambient air temperature: -50°C to +40°C.
  • Relative air humidity at the installation site must not exceed 50% at the maximum temperature of +40°C. Higher relative humidity is permissible at lower temperatures, e.g., 90% at +20°C.
  • Pollution level: Level 3.
  • Installation category: III for the main circuit breaker; II for auxiliary and control circuits not connected to the main circuit.
  • Suitable for electromagnetic environment A.
  • Install in environments free from explosion hazards, conductive dust, corrosive metals, insulation-damaging conditions, and protected against rain and snow.
  • The external magnetic field near the installation site must not exceed 5 times the geomagnetic field in any direction.
Model meaning
Product model specification details
Note 1: For modules without a leakage alarm unit, no code is used. Both alarm and trip are represented by "I", and alarm without trip is represented by "II".
Note 2: The specification code consists of six digits.
Note 3: Operation mode: Direct handle operation has no code; rotating handle operation is represented by "Z"; electric operation is represented by "P".
Note 4: The rated current of the shell frame grade is classified into 125, 250, 400, and 630 (800).

Note 2: For GNM1L-400, GNM1L-630, and GNM1L-800 specifications: 248, 348 models feature auxiliary contacts with one pair (one normally open, one normally closed); 268, 368 models feature auxiliary contacts with three pairs (three normally open, three normally closed).
Note 3: If the GNM1L series is configured with a leakage alarm unit module, accessories are provided only with ▲ specifications.
Installation method
The leakage circuit breaker must be installed vertically, as illustrated in the layout diagram below.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can the GNM1L leakage circuit breaker be used as the only direct contact protection?
No. While a GNM1L leakage circuit breaker with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 0.03A can serve as supplementary protection when other direct contact measures fail, it cannot be used as the sole direct contact protection.
Can I wire the power to terminals 2, 4, and 6?
No, reversing the connection is not allowed. Terminals 1, 3, and 5 must be used exclusively as power terminals, and terminals 2, 4, and 6 must be used as the load terminals.
What are the altitude and temperature limits for installation?
The installation site altitude must not exceed 2000 meters, and the surrounding ambient air temperature must remain within the range of -50°C to +40°C.
What types of wiring options are available for the GNM1L series?
The GNM1L series supports multiple wiring methods, including front-of-the-board wiring, behind-the-board wiring, and plug-in wiring configurations.
How should the leakage circuit breaker be oriented during installation?
The leakage circuit breaker must be installed vertically in its designated position, as detailed in the installation instructions.
What is represented by the codes 200 and 300 in the tripping specifications?
Code 200 represents the electromagnetic (instantaneous) tripper, while code 300 represents the thermal electromagnetic (duplex) tripper. The final two digits indicate internal attachment configurations.
